As temperatures soared into the 90s, a large section of Uptown lost power this afternoon.
Entergy New Orleans says a breaker was tripped at a substation around 4:00 p.m., causing the interruption. About 23,000 customers were without power.
Most of them were restored before 5:30 p.m.
Entergy is investigating the cause of the outage.
