About 4,600 Duke Energy Florida customers in St. Petersburg lost power this morning because of an issue with equipment, spokeswoman Ana Gibbs said. The outage, which began after 8 a.m., lasted for about 30 minutes at the longest.
"We are still investigating the cause," Gibbs said.
Duke Energy was able to reroute power from other parts of the grid to the affected area, which took about half an hour to complete, Gibbs said.
